Question Does Cato have a toll-free number to order books if I don't wish to order books online?
Answer Yes, please call 800-767-1241, 8:30 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m. EST Monday-Friday.
Question Can I choose a specific shipping method for my order?
Answer Yes. During checkout you will be asked to choose a shipping method. All orders are fulfilled within two business days of receipt. Shipping times are in addition to fulfillment time -- 1st Class US Mail and UPS Ground take five to ten business days for delivery, UPS 2nd Day takes two days and International mail takes 14 to 21 days. UPS DOES NOT deliver to P.O. Boxes. If you have a shipping address with a box number and you choose UPS, your order will be shipped via USPS. All International orders are sent United States Postal Service at this time. Please note, USPS does not provide tracking numbers for shipments.
Question What is Cato's return/refund policy?
Answer The Cato Institute will accept returns within up to one-year after purchase for a full refund. The books must have been purchased through www.catostore.org and be in salable condition. Please use the mailing label on the packing slip and include the invoice with the book. The customer pays shipping charges.
Question How do I request permission to use material from the Cato Institute?
Answer Requests for permission to republish Cato Institute material, must include the following information:
  1.    Title, author, and date of Cato material requested.

  2.    Title and author of book for inclusion of Cato material (including publisher).

  3.    Territory of distribution, estimated print run, and price of book for inclusion.

  4.    Publication date of book for inclusion.

  5.    Complete contact name, mailing address, and fax number of contact person.

All permission requests must be submitted in writing by mail, fax, or via email. Please address permission requests to:

Answer Yes.
Question If I am ordering Cato Books for a bookstore, how do I place an order?
Answer National Book Network distributes Cato Books to the Trade. Please call 800-462-6420 or contact your sales representative to place an order.
Question I would like to read an excerpt on www.catostore.org. What format are the excerpts in?
Answer All excerpts on the www.catostore.org site are PDF files. Reproduction of these files is expressly prohibited without the written permission of the Cato Institute.
